Christmas gift guide 2017

Spread the love

For fur babies

The Dreamies shaky mouse treat dispenser! Trust me your cat will love this, I bought one for Hades and it keeps him busy for… well minutes, but i’ll take that. I put the toy next to Cora’s play pen so she is also entertained, watching the cat bat around this toy trying to get treats. Pets at Home have them in store or find one on Ebay. They’re limited edition and cost around £2-£5

For the beauty lover

The Estee Lauder Victoria Beckham range has my eye right now! Have you seen the collection yet? Oh my, the colours are so rich and would go so well with any Christmas party outfit. Available from Selfridges & Co and prices range from £22 – £72.

For the homie

Ok so this is the second gift list to include a map, but this one is a specific map of a place you might love or your friend loves. I’ve seen some pretty creative ones so it’s all up to you, it costs £35.99 and it is from Not on the High Street.

For Her

How beautiful is this mini pendant from Missoma? I like it because of its marble-like design but if you’re into your stones and their meanings it is a dendritic chalcedony stone and it stands for loyalty, protection and tranquillity, making this a perfect gift for your other half or bestie! This one is in a gold setting but the larger versions can be purchased in either gold or silver.

The mini is £39.99 and the large is £59.99.

For Him

You cannot go wrong with a Fossil watch, their designs are kept simple and are very well made. The team within the Fossil shops (especially the Manchester Arndale one) are not pushy and are happy to help!

This watch is £179.99 and can be engraved for free!

For the proper Manc, innit!Adopt a bee… yep you heard me.

The Printworks in Manchester have a bee hive on their roof and they are giving people the chance to adopt a bee for just £1. You can name your bee and your name will be put on a plaque in the Printworks Junkyard.

There are 60,000 bees so lots to go round, but you might have to be quick. Not only do you get to name a bee but the £1 goes to The Booths Centre and Forever Manchester. Two charities that help the homeless and communities in and around Manchester.

As you may know the bee is the symbol of Manchester and it’s a great gift to give the person who might have been a bit too scared to get the tattoo!

The fundraising page is here. All you do is leave your name and the name of your bee in the notes after donating. Comment below if you do this, i’d love to hear all the bee names!

For babies

Rescue an old bear.

This is what we’re doing for Cora, the bear above was given to her by my mum (it was found in our attic) it doesn’t hold any nostalgic memories for me but i definitely know i’m not going to give it to the charity shop or anything. So i thought it’d be a better idea to get it restored and it can be placed on her shelves in her room for years to come.

The company we are using is Bygone Bears, Janet is a an expert in restoring vintage bears and has created this business. The whole process is costing us just £20 and it’s a great way of being resourceful.

For the foodie

To accompany the cheeses you are no doubt going to be buying at Christmas, this hamper has everything you need. Pickles and chutneys … and my favourite OAT CAKES!!!

It costs £34.99  from Lakeland and not going to lie, it’s on my ‘to buy’ list!

For the ‘just the one drink’  friend

A mince pie gin set…. i mean, have you heard of a gift more perfect for Crimbo? JUST TAKE MY MONEY.

Found at Harvey Nichols – £25.00.

Stocking Filler

This is called the ‘Lazy Man Frying Pan’ but honestly this is perfect for someone like me. I am a lazy brekkie maker and i soooo want one of these haha. It costs £34.99 from Menkind.
